Why do you do this Scottie, surely if its okay for the local Rozzers then it should pass the MOT.
The Police use a device called Tintmaster, and all they are doing is enforcing the vehicle legislation, i.e DoT MOT criteria.
Does the fact your windows dont work at MOT time not flag up as a "Advisory etc" on your report.

the mot's over here are strict on tints the sun strips have to be pulled off the windscreens but they dont care if your front windows dont work, i have never been asked and they never even tried to put them up no law to say you have to have working side windows lol , as the for police they dont really bother about the tints only when its road safety week, then i just take the stilo out during the day and not late at night because they usually only stop at night times.
