    Default Re-Painting wheel badges

Got the first aloy off this weekend refurbing them in an anthracite colour
all ready for laquer tomorrow (weather permitting)

was going to have a look on ebay for some new badges but had a play with the origonal ones
noticed the blue was pealling off so took some fine sandpaper to them and a bit of fine cut polish
    leaving me with this

Look good placed back on the wheel but tempted to paint the back black (going to paint the calipers black)

obviously need a little silver paint on the badge and outer part

not sure how well they will stay on the wheel though if they are glued onto paint

can you buy the glue pads the origonal's are stuck on with?

anybody had a go at this before ?

    Cool Re: Re-Painting wheel badges

For a permanent bond try araldite its an epoxy resin two pack and the best I have come across in many years of fishing tackle repairing..

I too vouch for araldite. Very good resin glue.

had a bit of a play and looks like this now

Not sure if the outer part would be better in a brighter silver
