    hi lads

    the other day i thought that the standard back box on my stilo didnt look very goood.



    so i took to it with the hack saw ( bad move )



    so yer it looks better but when i was washing my car yesterday i found this



    the heat had melted my bumper . my brother did warn me but me being me i didnt listen . its not that bad tho you can hardly see it . and im gettin a sport exhaust in a few weeks . but i thought i would warn you lot DONT DO IT !!! HAHA

    Still though, if you're getting a sports exhaust on soon, that'd probably be the bit they'd cut out for it anyway (if it was one you needed a cut for). I'd be tempted to get a trim or something in the meantime to extend what's left of the tailpipe so no more damage is done, but then, it may be fine without.

    I guess it's a lesson learned. The exhaust was bent down that way for a reason

    Why not make a heat shield from some chequer plate and put it on the melted section when you get your new exhaust mate

    I had the same thought as you with the exhaust. It does look a little unsightly. Figured easiest option was to spray the pipe and rear box black! Subtle and doesn't stand out then.

    Now you've mentioned that, I think I've seen a few people do that with other models of car. Could be worth a try certainly for anyone trying to obscure the standard Stilo droop

    I gave my tailpipe the snip ages ago (but I did it properly) looks quite good and no burnt bumper
