Re: Wheels
I am running 16" wheels with 55 profile tyres, was thinking of going to 17" 45 profile, but since roads are like minefields have shelved that idea 4 now, I ask those who have swapped, how much harder is the ride on 17" wheels with 45 profile ? Must be quite a few peps have swapped.

Re: Wheels
i went from a 205/55/16 up to a 225/40/18 yes there is a good bit of difference, but i would rather have the low profiles for cornering.
back to 205/55/16's for the moment as i put one my 18inch in sh!t after hitting a crater like hole in the road @ about 60/70mph.
will be going back to 18s when i can source a replacement.

Re: Wheels
It's not that harsh a ride if you compare it to other cars....I went staring from 15" steelies to 17" claws and would not have it any other way. There is still enough give in the tyres and like Scottie said I'd go with the lower profile any day for cornering on steelies the stilo was like a boat round the roundabouts and stuff.

Re: Wheels
I always remembered when I first bought my car, the fronts were 40s and the backs were 45s haha! Hence the 4x new tyres and I did it at haste too lol!

Re: Wheels
Doesn't having different tyre profiles on the front and back put the speedo and gearing out? I was told this by a guy in ATS... I was intrigued
