Fitted Coilovers Now Got Noise
Hey people, iv had coilovers fitted to my stilo and its now making a sort of rattle/knocking noise from the front, both sides. took it back to garage today but they said they stripped it down and its all ok and its safe to drive and he suggested I asked the forum for any ideas. the only thing he said could fix it is an uprated strut top as the spring sits flat at the moment where it should sit at an angle. anyone any ideas or had the same problem? help greatly appreciated

being stiffer, id check your drop links, also when i had my punto lowered on some shitty gmax springs and the top 3 coils of the spring banged and rattled together, could be that

Hi
sorry if this is a little obvious, but have you checked you've got all the correct components for your vehicle?
Take some pics and post them so we can peruse for you

Re: Fitted Coilovers Now Got Noise
my golf had the same problem, knocking on the front o/s, it was the sleeve that goes around the coilover that slides up and down the main body of the shock, worth a look

Re: Fitted Coilovers Now Got Noise
cheers for the replies guys, the droplinks are new they came with the kit and the kit is the fk konigsport one so it isnt a cheap one. the garage has checked it against the original strut diagram which they got from fiat so would assume its all present and correct. il check the sleeve mate cheers for that idea

Re: Fitted Coilovers Now Got Noise

Re: Fitted Coilovers Now Got Noise
its probably the sleeve then, just have a check on the rubber top mounts as well as they can wear quite quickly as well with stiffer suspension

Re: Fitted Coilovers Now Got Noise
yeh cheers bud il check that later. iv spoken to another lad who has replaced his and he is thinking that its the top mount and is going to try and sort it today so i will have to just keep in contact with him if it isnt the sleeve. thanks for help anyway lads much appreciated
