    Thumbs down do not use ap for coilovers

    i orderd a set of coilovers for my car 2 weeks ago. i have still not recived them . so i rang up today to find out were the f**k they are.
    so they rang AP in germany and then rang me back . there reply was - " sorry they will leave the factory tomorrow " apprently they had to be made for me because they are not in high demand . but they do not tell you this when you order them . im not happy . now i have to wait another week !!!

    I would assume that your supplier was as much in the dark about the manufacturing lead-time as you were as you, they would have no desire to upset you for fear of losing any future business from you.

    Hang on, you're irate after waiting just 2 weeks? I waited 6 weeks for my OMP strutbrace due to the main supplier in Italy having issues with stock. Plus, numerous companies I dealt with, YBracing for one, being total arses to me. They said Scotland for example wasn't part of mainland Britain so were going to charge me an extra £10 for delivery without explanation, even when I queried it.

    It's not good that there was some vagueness as to how available the stock was, but I think you're being a little harsh with your assessment of the situation. The test of every retailer is how they deal with a problem when it occurs. If your coilovers get to you in the next week as quoted to you, they've dealt with the issue as well as their supplier allowed them to.
