Yeah i am guessing that might be it but (not in the mount right) I checked it like 3 times or thought i did. Runing my hand round the sides. I will have another look this eve or get the garage to look when i am in on Friday for tracking :)

    Probably me as per haha

PNL has a point, the only reason why I suggested it is that it will give you an indication of where the problem lies save you rooting around or getting garages telling you the wrong thing cos they're all good at that

If the chirping goes away after lubing then you know what you need to do

    Excellent both SS and PNL

hoping that a release of the top bolt and a good wiggle of the spring would hopefully do the trick. Knowing my luck probably not! grrr haha

guessingit is that as i said as the other side is fine

Pain in the arse though removing and putting on the wheels. needs to be done though i suppose (sorry KNOW) haha

I also need to raise the front for tracking as the thing the garage uses? Wont fit under the arch :-P

I have replaced the lower wishbone on the front left, which was completely shot but the noise is still there. How easy is it to check if the bearing has been fitted correctly to the strut, and where do I have to look. I am having to drive with the radio turned up as the noise is driving we mad!!! I find that it makes no difference to the noise when i go over bumps, but when I deccelerate the noise disappears, somebody please help as I don't know how much longer I can go on without crashing the front left corner into a wall.

To check the bearing and top mount alignment you will have to remove the strut from the car and dismantle it..
