Default EBC Redstuff Pads / Turbogroove Discs?

Has anyone used these on the Abarth/JTD or could coment on how good/bad they are?

I did my droplinks yesterday and upon checking the discs notice the backs are worn and look like ashtrays. My MOT is due end of the month/early decemeber so will get them done before that.

Seen the pads redstuff pads for £48 on ebay and the discs for £128 which doesnt seem too bad compared to some online stores.

Cool re: EBC Redstuff Pads / Turbogroove Discs?

I supplied both to red devil a few years ago ..sadly they dont do ebc any longer at this shop..Red stuff are more for track days and need warming before they are 100% bugger in the morning from cold..hows about green stuff ones..I understand they have improved the compound on these now and dont need warming in the morning..

    Thanks Phil.

I read that they also improved the compound on the red stuff ones too? I was thinking about the red ones as with mine being the sillyspeed and I am lazy at changing down gears my car tends to be on the brakes more if you knwo what I mean.

I was thinking green originally but the brake dust reduction bit and the fact they dont seem to cost that much more I though the red uns might be worth a punt.

Euro car parts have some of the pads in to order but not the discs, shame really as there is a branch near me.

I think about £180 is gonna be my top budget for both, looking round at other brands like tarox and the like there doesnt seem to be much else around the price.

    Thanks

I'd echo the Greenstuff suggestion Phil makes, have recently removed the redstuff pads from my chums Fabia VRS and changed them for greenstuff - as he put it:
"at least when I hit the brake pedal the damn thing actually stops"

The reds are great for hard constant use but pants for everyday motoring.
Discs - to be honest, I stick with standard discs as they're cheap enough and IMHO are up to the job with the right pads. Mind you, the EBC turbo discs are quality.......

I get the impression most people think the lip on the edge of the disc is showing how much the discs are worn down. I have found if you go around the edge of the disc and tap with a hammer most of it will drop off cause its rust Ive done this for years.

Sounds like the redstuff pads might be a bad idea then, green it is.

Oh well, screw it. Ill get the standard discs and greenstuff pads. Could spend the change on some long overdue ice upgrades or something.
