Have I Knocked My Tyre Out Of Balance Or Worse ?

was doing a corner the other day and completeley skidded into the other side of the road, i was so shocked i forgot to handbrake the car to slow the impact, anyways, my driver side wheel bounced of the kerb, felt quite hard tbh. my girlfriend shouted at me because she thought i'd tried to handbrake turn the corner ( i admit i thought about it

) but i never.
Ever since then my steering wheel is juddering when i drive, quite lightly at normal revs, a bit more vigorously when i put my foot down. ive been told i may have knocked the wheel out of balance or something, if i have, is it costly ?

Possible things that might have happened are..

out of balance wheel..if your lucky..

buckled wheel..ouch..

damaged suspension ..would need to be checked to find out what..

same happened here this morning, thanks god no consequences, you need to take extra care at these circumstances as i found out this morning aswell...

hopefully it's just the wheel that is out of balance witch shouldnt cost you more than about 20 quid to sort out.

Average cost of balancing is around a tenner down our way..cost of wheel and maybe a tyre if the side wall is damaged ..well there's ya beer money gone for a month..

to be honest never done one for money, getting them for free with the tyre warranty, but i think that's what it is, rough price dough, can differ from place to place obviously

i doubt ive buckled the wheel, i have strong 17 inch rims, and it wasnt hard enough to damage the suspension, must just be knocked out of place. a tenner sounds good though :D thank god !

wheel balancing over here is £4 normally.
lets hope its only the wheel balance, could be - wishbone - driveshaft.
lets hope not though drive shafts are a F***ing fortune
