Nothing like a bit of quality eh?! lol!
Yeah I'd highly recommend Axle stands. Take them with you if you're going for a scissor jack as it's better to be safe than sorry! I have a slight knocking from the back when going over potholes but I was under the impression that my parcel shelf was slightly loose? Might sound daft but it's been in with a mechanic for a general check and even he said there wasn't anything worn at the back. Guess it's worth a check lol

I have a slight rattle from my boot lid - think it's down to the gas struts being a little loose as when it's open, it's got a bit of play in it, checked the catch and it's fine too.
Just think noises like these can be seriously hard to track down - the one I heard a month or so ago has now decided to all but go back to the original engine mount sounding sound, as in a dull creak over certain speedbumps and the like. Probably is still the top mounts, but I can't afford to get them done the now...usual story really.
muppet the gas struts in the bootlid are mounted on little ball type fittings they move if you twist them.

well i've been on the ramp and it is bushes, but can any1 tell me rough price on them? cause i've been told you can buy them for about £20, but the work will be about a £100 so i'm looking for the part and the garage to do the work... and is that the right part number for them here - SS2530 ???
ohh and the other thing... will i not fu** something up if i'll drive around like that for a month probably? cause i've got all my money tied in the holliday now so there's not much i can do...![]()
drive her on mate, i done about 20kmiles with the rear bushes hanging out of my car. the bush is £17.50 + VAT just ring fiat and tell them you want rear axle bushes for the stilo and they'll sort you out. its the same bush throughout the stilo range
well that's the same i was told, i'm actually thinking of going to my old fiat garage to fit them in aswell as they will have the tools and parts, but the question is how much will they charge me![]()
