reducing roll
Just some advice please
On the multipla it seems to be suffering from quite a bit of roll esp on left handed bends given the hight i did expect some,so i thought about upgrading the bushes for stronger ones Maxiflex?? i don't want to touch the suspension as its great, maybe on the soft side but you don't need to visit a dentist if you find a pot hole !!
I also thought about maybe putting on bigger wheels from 15s to 17s and maybe increase the offset to push them out a bit found a usefull sticky on tyre's and offsets so this will take away the guess work
Or am i going down the wrong road
Any thoughts thanks

Re: reducing roll
Wider tyres will give you better grip ..YES.. but to improve body roll the suspension set up will need to be worked on..lower the car and anti roll bars are the way to stop body roll..this will of course take some of the comfort out of the ride..

Ahh i see the diff well will use the money for lowering springs to start with and the up graded bushes ,did a bit of scouting about and it seems the petrol version does'nt suffer the same due to it being weightier at the front
Thanks

The diesel engine will be heavier than the petrol
There are two types of "roll" encountered, one is tyre roll, which is combated by the use of lower profile tyres (and bigger wheels) thus reducing trye sidewall flex (the profile of a tyre or aspect ratio, is a percentage of the tyre width-ie on a 55 profile tyre the rim to the tread is 55% of the width of the tyre)
the other roll is caused by suspension movement, and stickier tyres will not help this, in fact I think that it can worsen it, as the when you reach the limit of the tyres grip, the car will get out of shape real fast. Lowereing is an answer here, or stiffer shocks, but always at a price regarding comfort only you can decide which way you want your car to perform.
Also if your car has steel wheels, then the extra unsprung weight can also affect handling
One other tip is to drive a Citreon Picasso for a few miles (my missus has one) and youll probably feel the fiat is solid as a rocj afterwards
