If the numbers don't match the TUV for the specific vehicle, it's an MOT failure here. You won't be allowed to drive out of the garage either. Also if the numbers are sprayed... Maybe tougher rules apply over here.

over here they check they are not damaged and i think thats about it. although i guess they will check for obvious bad fitment etc.
