    Default iat sensor

I have tried to find the intake air temperature sensor which should be on the black pipe which leads from the air intake to the engine but can't seem to find one on there, so I would like to find the coolant temperature sensor but not sure where it is on the stilo can anyone help. Appreciate it if anyone can help.

oh nooooooooo i suspected as much, there rubish mate, all they suceed in doing is make the car over fuel, and advance the timing, causing all sorts of issues, especially with the stilo's complex electrics.

hope you didnt pay much for what effectivly is a 10p resistor

i fell victim too when i was young and had my punto, all it suceeded in doing was upping my fuel consumption, and fried my ecu

throw it in the nearest bin and save up for a re-map and get it done propperly

    Cool Re: iat sensor

That so called bhp boost is the biggest scam on ebay.. the place for that is..

All it does is tell the ecu to inject more fuel into the engine and will cause you problems..

    Question Re: iat sensor

Ok thanks for that I really appreciate peoples honesty I took out the coolant temp sensor but made the mistake of starting car with it out and now its coming up engine fault does anyone know how I can reset this. Someone did say this to try....

Turn key to the "on" position but don't start car
Pull the pcm bat and pcm ign fuses in the engine compartment
    Wait approximately 5 mins
    Turn ignition off
    Replace fuses
Start car and that should do it

I'm not sure which ones they are though and Will this work or not or is there another way please help

If you have put it all back together, it usually takes 3 clean starts to get the ECU light off.

its worked but i did it another way and this is how i did it.....

turned the ignition on but dont start the car(ignition lights come on)
took out the big fuses (not relays) under car bonnet
    wait roughly 5 minutes
    turn ignition off
    replace fuses
start the car and the light goes off

but thanks for your help its appreciated

personally i would never ever remove fuses while the ignition is on, the potential for blowing things is emence. just do the fiat code start, and that should do it. start, then rev to limiter 3 times, then turn off, and then turn on, and they should go, also added this to your reset post

i moved your tecnical thread on resets to the guides section
