As for bosch, their MAF's are better than pierburg ones, can fix most issues with them with a can of contact cleaner and a cotton wool bud (least I have).
If it wasnt for bosch most things you take for granted would maybe have never happened. They pioneered EFI and most of the electronic systems we see on cars today such as pushing the standards of ECU's and on-board diagnostics as well as other standards such as CAN which is now a requirement for diagnostics on road vehicles.
Re: What spark plugs are fitted to my stilo i think bendix may argue with you there, bosch were the bigger company, and took the idea further, but only started efi system 10 yrs after bendix, and took them another 15ish years before the maf efi system was developed
