I have had Service 25Dy flash up on my screen today. I'm assuming that would indicate a service would be due in 25 days or is it not as obvious as that?
I suppose I could look it up in the manual but that requires reading it :)

25 Days and counting and then cabooooom..lol ..if your going to use dealer for the servicing ask him to turn off all the remaining service tickets in the cluster ..had it done on the wifes at her 2nd service and she wont be bothered any longer by it..its a dealer examiner delete using fiat software but I think Dan is on top of this one and he might be able to do it in the near future..:)

I'm approaching 2 Fiat dealers in my local area on servicing costs and seeing what they come back with. Be interesting to see what they offer. If they can switch it off, think I'll ask them to do it. Annoying seeing it flash up. Only done it the once mind you over 4 journeys.
Well it will soon be flashing up on every start up unless its either reset or deleted ..deleted you only pay for it once and its done with..![]()

Sledgehammer through the display will probably have same effect as switching it off. I can think of a few negatives to that approach though :D
I can see the service reminder has its place but for anal people like myself who keep track of their car's mileage and maintenance, its a nuisance.

I do know how but I cant tell you how to remove the service warning.
I got the information by reverse engineering a program that someone game me to beta test, and they paid for that information so its not fair on them.
Shame your not closer I could knock them off for you.
Their program is going to be released soon I believe and works very well.
You could ask your dealer to remove them all but most dealers wont for obvious reasons.
Its daft that it cant be done with a stalk + keypress combo or something.

Looks like I'll have to settle for sweet talking the service people then :)

Well Northgate in Canterbury have come back with £159 for the 36,000 service. Doesn't strike me as too bad for a dealer. They've put in the post the information as to whats actually done.
£159 is one hell of a good price for the 36,000 mile one I paid around the same for the second year on the wife's 1.4 ..there are ways mind you that you yourself can get it cheaper than the price quoted..for example they will want to use the 5w/40 wide range oil..ask them to put in the 20K 10w/40 semi check your spark plugs and if their buggered fit a set yourself [their price is extortion for a set of plugs ]..they will want to fit a pollen filter..refer to the guide to see if its dirty and if its OK tell them no thanks..those three items alone will save you quite a few pennies..:yes(1):
