Re: turbo fail?
Hi
Doesn;t sound familiar to the turbo failing.
1. Have you any warning lights?
2.What does it idle like ? (Rough / Normal)
3.Is there any excessive smoke from the exhaust? (What colour?)
4.Did it happen suddenly or gradually?
5.Anything indicative under the bonnet, i.e Excess oil etc
6.Have you remembered to take your handbrake off? (Just kidding!)
7.Is teh vehicle starting ok? If not describe symptoms.
WE NEED MORE INFO..... DETAILS DETAILS DETAIL my old mate

Have a listen under the bonnet while someone revs it, listen for any whoosh type air escaping noises... may just be a pipe off the turbo, if no noise may be worth removing the EGR for inspection / cleaning / replacement.

Re: turbo fail?
Yer forgot to mention that, Fiat had a right good brain wave when they made the Jtd, putting teh Intercooler pipe through a piece of plasitc panelling you could shave with; its that sharp, my pipe was disected by the panelling and i had to replace it, an easy but DURTY job,
To locate as you look at your car from the front underneath the passenger side headlight you shuld see a small "radiator" like device, (Intercooler) from this a rubber hose approx 2 inch in diameter, runs up into your engine bay, get under you car and feel /squeeze all along the length of this hose (Oh Matron!), checking for any holes, splits, rips etc, alternatively, unclip it remove it and check it properly, as stated a very easy job.
If its fine then take the opportunity to give it a good clean out along with the whole air system, try also cleaning out your throttle body, MAF, MAP sensors.
