no problem Rob you can drive the MW over here and we'll leave mick to do the bushes while we go about our other business mate
they are fun arnt they, i done our mw a couple of monts back, getting out the old ones was a royal pain in the rear, i ended up using a blow torch on mine, but be careful there maybe pockets of oil left in the bushes which isnt fun when they pop.
i decided to actually hone the outside of the bushes on mine, just incase i made a mistake on the axel itself. i managed to distroy one bush much the same way as the op done here but once i had enough off the metal gone it went in lovely. there havent been any adverse affect on the cars handling either, i personally think fiat over engineered the tolerances on the bushes.

This thread has made for quite an entertaining but informative read.
Makes me dread the time when mine will need doing!
really easy insy, as you have read above, very easy, lmao
if your going to attempt it yourself, my advice is buy 2 set of bushes, incase you F it up

Mine are fine at the moment, so in no great rush to replace :D
I used only 1 set of bushings. Out was a RPITA, in was smooth (used lots of grease!).
My son managed to ruin the threads on the brakeline though, so had to order a new set of those.
Car sounds great now. I almost drive over bumps deliberately now.....
