    Default A Stilo Problem

    Hello everyone,

    Lately the stilo has been actin strange. WHen i am stationary and the car is running it feels like its gonna cut out and sometimes it dose cut out when i am at the lights or in traffic..

    i just wondered if someone has had the same problem and what it could be!

    i just hope its nothing major...

    Could be the crankshaft or camshaft sensor, especially as its when you are at the lights.

    Do you have access to any diagnostic equipment? As it would show up as an error on there.

    Hmmm i have no idea what those are lol

    my next door neighbor works in a garage and he said he will see if he can borrow this "code error reader" or something like that, from work and use it on my car. he said it shows any errors on the car. is that similar to what u mean Dan.....

    Yes, you need to retrieve the DTC data from the car. If its a more advanced one you should be able to view the realtime data and try and recreate the error with the diagnostic equipment attached to the car.

    If its what I mentioned you will see DTC codes like P0335 or P0340.

    Having done a quick search I find that Moey has a 1.6 and off the top of my head wouldnt mind betting all the car needs is a throttle body clean up..
