Tip for windscreens - lemons & limes
Just something I've been doing for years and only thought about mentioning here as a pal brought around his Skoda round yesterday and I applied my 'solution' to his problem.
His windscreen had 'somehow' got polish on it and he couldn't see a damn thing in the rain because of the smearing - muppet ::)
I used to clean 'screens with good old vinegar and newspaper but a better solution: A lemon or a lime ;)
Cut in half (check for seeds......) and simply rub the half lemon or lime all over the windscreen. Really work it in if you have to, gets rid of all sorts of shit. Simply wash off thoroughly afterwards, nothing else needed. Et Voila! One super clean windscreen.
Try it and see how you get on 8)

...... oh, I use the other half of the lemon or lime (lime preferably) in the G&T that I like to have when I'm working on the car :D ;)

Re: Tip for windscreens - lemons & limes
It was really good!
I rinsed it off with some De-Ionized water (on offer from Tescos 57p!) Wonderful smear free windows!
Left the car at home next day, came back and next door had been sanding his floorboards with the windows open... >:( >:( >:(
No clean windows now!! >:( >:( >:(

LOL - no, should have mentioned that :-[ Guess with this years summer it slipped my mind ::)
If you take a wee sprayer filled with water and keep the screen damp/moist (not wet) whilst you "juice" the screen you'll be fine ;)
