Stilo abarth oil recommendations??
I am just about to do a service on my Stilo and I sent the Mrs to Fiat yesterday was a nightmare, they just said that we would have to go elsewhere for the Oil that we need for the abarth as the manufacturer recommendeds Racing oil 10w 60 - She went to VKM and bought some for..... £49.99!!!! Is it just me or does that seem very expensive? Dont want to be spending that everytime... what does anyone else use? She also picked up 5 bosh spark plugs I want to double check they are the right ones... what SHOULD they be?
thanks

Re: Stilo abarth oil recommendations??
Oil is a touchy subject at the best of times as some recommend what fiat recommend 5w/40 and others having tried it say its using oil like its going out of fashion and I have switched to a 10w 40 one and I'm no using so much now....the abarth needs to be kept topped up to the limit that's for sure other wise you can get the big end dropping out of the car very quickly indeed..as for plugs use NGK on the stilo there isn't one better..Bosch dont suit the car what so ever..I did a post of all the plug types some where lets see if i can find it..[goes off to look]

Quite often Dave is cheaper to buy online than local ..I have seen some right good deals on sparkies in the past on eblag..and although I havnt got an account on there if there is a phone number they usually let me buy regardless..

Re: Stilo abarth oil recommendations??
The best place i found for the oil at the time was shop4parts - selenia racing is pricey but the abarth has expensive tastes. I also run NGK iridium plugs which it runs really well with - gbot mine on ebay for something silly like £16 on an auction
