are you really mate bugger!!! how do you et them off just with a spanner the alloys have holes though for them to fit in..very strange you have the inovit wheels dont you mate??
Those spikes are there to help getting the wheels in place. Not necessary though, but on some models (don't know about the Stilo) these hold the brake drum in place. Yes, I know there aren't any brake drums here, but that is their function aswell. But they can most likely be replaced with a bolt. When I had spacers on my previous Uno I removed these spikes, and bolted the spacer into these holes with hex bolts. Fiat steel wheels have holes that fit perfectly to these spikes. It is a possibility that these spikes have made your wheels offset in som sort of way.

yeah mate, when i was fitting mine i went to put the wheels on with these already on and Les told me that you have to take them off, just a 10mm spanner should get them off for you matey, come off pretty easy aswell :)
Hope this is the problem for you buddy.
YIPPY YIPPY YIPPY YIPPPY problem solved thanks so much mate no vinbration at all now apart from a very very very small one at around 80 but that is because of the bigger wheels anyway i have been told cheers everyone thanks for all your help really appreciate it thank god i did not go to kwik fit today they would have mullered me with a silly price for something else he he cheers everyone again
glad you sorted it buddy
get your tracking/balancing done and i bet that little vibration will go aswell
welcome to the bumpy road of 18s
That is most likely a balancing problem. Take the tires back where you bought them at make them do a re-balancing.
good to hear you got it all sorted. never got chance to post until after you were sorted lol but would have only said the same as above ;D
