@Steven
The steering wheel removal/refit doesnt seem to difficult from what I have read on another forum. The onyl problem that you may encounter is with the clock spring. Obviously when removing the wheel be very very careful, make sure the battery is disconnected for as long as possible before starting.
The clock spring connects the electrical elements of your steering wheel to the rest of the car as with the wheel being turned you cannot just use cable as eventually this will just snap. - Kinda along the same lines as whats known as a 'spin'tek' or gyro system oin a BMX.
The wheel/clock spring you have will have less conductors on it than the one on the replacement wheel (extra for the buttons), so you may need to fit a part to the car for the clock spring to connect to, as well as make the extra connections on the car side.
Ill post more information as I find it.
