Steering Wheel
Hey folks!
A little question...
I always felt a little noise when I was turning the wheels (for example) parking the car.
Like when you are steering left and then you stop and start steering right.
It allways gave like a little bang in the steering wheel, but nothing to strong.
Nowadays seems a little bit more "bang" than just a small thing...
But... In speed there are no vibrations.... everything normal... even close to 200 kph... so... I don't know what might be...
I will ask to check that when the car when for usual service maintanence.
But... any clue on what might be?

Re: Steering Wheel
is it a bang or a crack? CV joint?

Re: Steering Wheel
Not really a crack... more like a bang... and it's not all the time.
If you turn slow... nothing happens...
But, by CV joint you mean? (sorry... but technical names for me in english are tough... lol)

Re: Steering Wheel
CV Joint = Constant Velocity Joint
the joint on the driveshaft that has a rubber boot surrounding it full of grease. the boot will split with age or get damaged and the grease will come out meaning that the joint will wear quickly and cause it to crack @ low speeds when turning
