Default Airbag light on when battery is flat?

Can someone tell me if the battery goes flat on an Abarth or any Stilo for that matter does it leave the airbag light on? As I have been told this is something they do and just needs plugging in to there computer to clear it once the battery is up to strength. This is a Fiat dealer whom I am looking at an Abarth tomoz. Low miles 54 plate etc, etc. Cheers. ;)

a low battery will throw all sorts of lights on, it plays havoc with the electronics. if you get the code read when the battery is sorted the code may even say low voltage. once cleared time will tell if there is another issue as it will show up again ;)

If its a dealer your going to then ask him to sort out all the problems before you put any money down on the car and just drop the fact that fiat have now a new harness for the air bag light problems so has this been done on the car along with the spring catchers and any other outstanding recalls [they can check if its had all ] and query why the battery is going flat anyway as there could be a problem with the alternator and that's no cheap item either and neither is a new battery for that matter ..just remember if you want the car you are in a strong position to get things done before the sale because another buyer could be weeks or even months away ..

Fiat dealer doesn't admit there are any recalls for air bags for 2003 stilos. How can I prove it to them they want me to book it into the garage thanks for your help.

The airbag wiring was never a recall per say, just a job done if there was a problem.

The spring catchers should be on their database if its been done or not.
