    Cool Re: Fitting Lowering Springs

If he knows his stuff a max of a couple of hours at whatever he charges per hour.. just make sure he fits the top mounts on the front struts back on in the correct position or he will be doing the fronts for a second time..

There's a guide somewhere, think it may be on FF actually on how to fit the lowering kit incl the dampers but it's the same principles for just the springs.

As Phil says, make sure the top mounts are round the right way as they're sloped for the turrets. Also, the bolts that hold the strut to the hub can (and in my case did) get ridiculously rusty. If this is the case, get the garage to do it unless you're confident enough to drill it out - it caused me much stress and heart ache over a few days with a mangled strut and a well and truly stuck bolt

If memory serves, the independent I took RGZ to did the suspension for £40 a corner, which I thought was pretty reasonable. It also shows how quick it can be done if you have the right tools at your disposal

Finally, get your tracking done after the lowering. Costs bugger all to get done and will save your tyres - I got mine done just in time I reckon as it was out even before I dropped the suspension

i can get springs done for £25 a corner, when you get the car lowered drive it for a couple of days and then get it tracked. it'll be more accurate on the lasers
