Hi Guys.
Does anyone exactly what CAN standard is available on the Stilo via the OBD.
Is is K-Line only or is J1979 available?
Does anyone have a list of PID's that are available thru the CAN?
Hi Guys.

It use B-CAN data (50 kbps)

As dejan says, thats the speed 50kb, 11bit identifiers. But everything after that doesnt follow any standards whatsoever.
On the stilo you dont actually have any PID's available over CAN as such as it cannot afaik be used for diagnosis. The various computers in the car send things such as vehicle speed, oil pressure, mpg, rpm, battery voltage, milage, service due etc.. but these arent PID's as such.
You need to set up masks and filters to make sure the hardware you are using is only accepting the data you are interested in. If you are interested I can help a little more but with little in the way of any documentation there isnt much information out there.
What are you looking to achieve?
Dan.
PS. Ill move this thread to technical.

Re your PM, here are a few to be going on with, its translated from German but im sure you will get the jist.
The above was written by yellowstilo on FF.Here still some B-CAN data (50 kbps) in the Fiat Stilo:
281 8 00 00 00 xx 00 00 00 00
xx = engine of water temp. offset -40 degrees of -40 to 215 degrees
281 8 00 00 00 00 xx xx 00 00

281 8 00 00 00 00 00 00 xx 00

They any good?
Looks good. Will give them a go and let you know.
Cheers

If you want to make progress into the unknown a good way is making a log of the can activity. If you want I could do the same and compare. Its easy to pick things out and then compare them with environmental conditions such as temp, day/night, speed etc..
Ive done some stuff with the steering controls. Ive got them to talk through a PIC micro into the serial port for MP3 player control. Im sick of the CN+ so when I can get most of the stuff thats in the CN connected and integrated into software Ill probably ditch or hack the CN+.
Commandy by yellowstilo works. Also I have at home few other commands for open windows, check light status(normal, long, fog, handbrake, blinkers...), reset service interval, open boot, steering commands...

Get them posted up then _Dejan_, I bet your german is better than mine or that of google translate :-)
Confirmed those values you posted worked a charm. Would definately like to see as many up here as can be found. Many thanks
Do you know if these values are the same for all Fiat vehicles or do they differ.
I also need data for....
Fiat Ducato
Fiat Scudo
Fiat Fiorino

They differ. Not just the commands bus the speeds and indentifier type. ie. Grande Punto uses 500k 29bit for interior, Punto Mk2 uses 11bit 50k for interior.. Wish it was that easy :-)
I have a lot of the stuff from the canhack website but the site wen toffline and they lost everything upto 2006/7. I have webarchives of some of it.. Ill get them up over the weekend. IF we can try and find others that arent documented we could stick them all in a spreadsheet, much easier to work with then.
