    Default Schui Clutch problems

I have been posting on here about the problems i ve have been having with the clutch on the shui .

Well i replaced the clutch master with no joy so its down the replacing the concentric slave and clutch .

The good folk om here have said its possable to drop the gear box down . Could anyone tell me if i need to remove the diff or just drop the box on its own .

Have been quoted £800 for Main dealer to do it . Parts will cost me only £310 so going to be cold few days before xmas.

Gearbox and diff share the same casing when you remove the box the diif comes with it..they can be split when the box is out but when removing the box it stays as one unit..

    Thanks PNL .
I was not sure as work shop manual only shows engine out and its to bloody cold to be hanging around out side.

Still reeling from the cost for a garage to do it and number of mator factors who quoted abrath clutchs as replacements and not the Schui one including our mian dealer.

But surely the manual Abarth and the Schumi share the same clutch and gearbox
Forgive my ignorance, but barring a few tweaks here and there, isn't the Schumi just a badge engineered Abarth

I'll go and sit somewhere quietly in the corner.......

If you sit to long in that corner you will get frost bite in the nether parts..so dont longer to long in this weather..
The two cars are basically the same car except on the showeee they did add some bilstein shocks 18" alloys and that bloomin awful OMP back box..they also took many of the toys out of the showee as well so if you like playing with things in your car the abarth will give you more fun..

Well i was of the same thinking . But i have been told that the abrath has a lower bhp than the schui . Both the main dealer and the factors all confirmed this when i was trying to get quotes for the slave and clutch. Wanted to use a Valeo clutch but they did not do it in kit form. Valeo did a clutch but not the slave. Tried Sachs and borg and beck both the same. Can get the slave from quinton Hassel

Ha ha ha ha ha ha..I find it slightly amusing that neither the stealer nor the factors know they are basically the same car..you need to print this off and stick it up their noses..

Edit.. print two of the them one for each..hell it christmas after all..
