    Default Stilo exhaust

Gone to book in my Stilo for a new center part exhaust for Thursday as the exhaust is blowing (flexi bit), makes me sound a tad chavvy at the mo

Anyways, went to kwick fit for a quote, and getting none at an indepentant place thats cheaper, but neither listed exhausts for the 1.4

Only listed them for the 1.2 or 1.6

I said I think it's more likly to be the same as the 1.2 over the 1.6, have I been correct in this decission? I wasn't too happy with the tosser at kwick fit who insisted that I can't have a 1.4 as they cant have made one

flip sake, that would annoy my head, i hate people assuming your stupid.
why not go down your local motor factors and buy a generic flexi and weld it on, prob cost about £15-£20 all in

I would have thought it would share with the 1.4 as they are practically the same engine bar the capacity.

    I think youve said right..

Well the last time I used quickshits assistance (Didnt have any work done), I wanted to use their ramp to have a look at an exhaust problem I had with my old astra. The two dipshits that were standing around stared at the back end of the car for a little while and then one said that my rear springs were going to snap. Now, at this point, I am under the car and shocked by the "discovery" I had a look too and thought to myself surely not. I pointed out that there would be definate signs if that was true. Nonetheless, they were adamant. When I went to have the exhaust done (Was also a silencer problem) I took it to a place up near my house and whilst chatting with the guy, I mentioned what quickshit had said. He told me, which was kinda obvious from the start, that Quickfit know jack shit. Quickshit! lol!

Moral of the story. Don't listen to them lol.

Never did update you all in the end. Got new exhaust fitted in the end by my local indipendant fitter. First exhaust ordered was wrong. Bore where it goes into the rear section was wrong and was two bore of the same size, rather than a little going into a big if that makes sence.

So went back the next day and they got the right one in and fitted it

So £96 later (qwickshit quoted £113 for the same job), all is back to usual and quiet again
