Righto now i know what terminal connector your on about tacky..when you get to my age every little helps [the pic] now just a pennies about the stilo as a car..as muppet has said the stilo in many ways is a very flawed car ..when it first came out it was called an intelligent car with it electronics that supposedly did everything other that do the washing up..but as time went on the errors and poor build quality showed in many forms from the canbus system faults to rear axle bushes poor electrical connectors and wiring the stilo had the lot..many problems CAN be attributed to poor design an example here being the snapping spring fiasco that stilo and fiat have experienced and while its also apparent in other cars I feel its one that shouldnt happen..as a lad I saw many a rusty suspension spring but very few that snapped..the car went under many modifications as we all know from the phase one to the later phase 2 cars and then in 07 when everything was getting more or less sorted they decided to replace the car with the god damn awful bravo..the stilo has many a fan throughout the world and has been kept alive by many a dedicated site such as this one..an army of diehards who have found out how to fix the car where fiat and their techs have failed..in fact I know my local dealer has said to me that their techs find it a pain in the arse to fix and hate the car for that very reason..so there you go I could go on and on but feel there is no need to ..I have moved on from mine a number of years ago now.. gone to a far eastern make that is also slagged off by many [wont bore you with that one]..long live the car and the dedicated members all around the world..just remember the slogan every time your under the bonnet..

Haha well it is for that very reason that I don't bother taking it to a main dealer lol! They just haven't a clue and I don't fancy having to pay them excessive amounts just to scratch their heads

I'm aware of what needs doing but with everything being shut, I have to be patient and that's not my strongest vertue when it comes to my car playing up lol! I need it fixed now!

If the new terminal (Or lead... Not sure what will actually need replacing as of yet) and battery sort the problem, I shall NEVER disconnect the battery again! lol! It's clearly a design flaw on mine!

Yeah I used to hate it when people used Fix It Again Tomorrow on me... But it seems now I have to saccept that I've bought an on-going project lol!

Haha yeah plan to mate! lol!

Well since the little clip for for parcel shelf sorround was broken, I thought that at least I could win at that as it would be a straight easy swap. Nope!

The clip doesn't even go in correctly. I know it shouldn't make a difference, but is the clips for the 5dr different to the 3dr?

What the small clips on each side that the parcel shelf goes into are different or are you actually saying that the models are different (Kind a given lol! )

AFAIK the parcel shelf is different, therefore the side panels that it clips into will be different as the 3 door has a recessed boot where as the 5 door does not

I can help on the parcel shelf front..........Go to your nearest FIAT stealer and pay a quid (yes £1) that it and you get 2 well I did but that's your best option.

Mine didn't have one and i found that the stealer was the best option they should have plently of these lying about. Once you have it put a wee lickle bit of glue under it slot in then leave it to dry should bnever come out after that mines been in for 2 years now.

Well that would be a good idea, but I swear all the Fiat dealerships charge differently... Well mine does anyway. Have it booked in for thursday to have the indicators activated upon locking and unlocking the car... That's gonna cost £45. Someone else told me they got charged £30. My nearest dealership charges £90 an hour to just LOOK at the vehicle. That doesn't include cost of parts or labour... What the hell!

God knows how much they'll charge for clips. They are genuine stealers. Dumb ones at that!
