Thread: I've Had Enough...

I've spent more than the car is bloody worth trying to fix the never ending list of crap that goes wrong with the car and enough is enough.

I took the terminals off and guess what... The negative terminal is buggered. I'm now getting the revs dropping like before and I've had enough. I've had a Rover for god sakes and that NEVER went wrong. This car has done nothing but show me that Fiat can't make cars for shit. Sorry, but it had to be said and it's plainly obvious.

Alas, it will be going up for sale and I'm going to get myself a proper car. One that doesn't see me spending my weekends fixing something that goes wrong for no reason.

To be fair, my car has 2-tone yellow so yeah, a recycling bin has a better paint job lol

Is there any other Fiat that shares the same negative terminal? Only it's a bloody saturday and all Fiat specialists and what not are shut so I can see myself being without a car for yet another week.

i can see you're a bit dissapointed and maybe even annoyed, i'm in that group of ppl aswell, but i just love it, i'm not sure what it would take to get rid of it....

It's a nice looking car, but that's as far as it goes. The build quality matches paper shoes and well I haven't spent one weekend where I haven't had to do anything to it. It's just a bottomless money pit and I don't have the finances to justify the poor quality that it has. It was nice to drive and what not but I definately aint pleased that it's yet again costing me. It's pathetic.

yeah, tell me about it, but i gues you havent had the worst of it yet aswell like the sillyspeed braking gearbox, even the normal one is not the best by the looks of it... well it might be that you've got a dodgy one, witch happens sometimes, like even Phils misus grande punto that they couldnt get into for the first time obviously there is time that you have to say thats the end of it... like mine doesnt have so much issues, but still even if it's bits, i cant get it sorted from main dealership as the parts are way too dear and i cant get them from the scrappies.... ehh

It's a shame because it's not only the terminal now. It's probabily the battery too... I've just replaced it aswell. It's really not funny anymore and no car should cause this much trouble

so what was wrong with it? and the battery wouldnt be dead if the alternator would be working properly...

Well I took the terminals off to obviously refit the airbag on the steering wheel as it didn't look like it was on properly and then when I went to put the negative back on, all the problems started. It doesn't attach properly and also the car drops when idling. Last time I solved it by a new branch control unit and battery. I'll be damned if I'm paying out for another battery lol

the idling problem might be the same as with the 1.6, throttle body needs cleaning, as it's been pissin me off for a while now.... apart than that god knows why the other sh** is happening to it
