Default The Blaupunkt CD-Changer Replacement Project...

Right, well this could either be a lengthy and rewarding project, or shot down before it even starts...

I propose to replace my crappy never-working Blaupunkt CD-Changer with that of a Sony CDX-T67. I need an adapter which will make use of the three connections attached to the changer but then convert it into a square plug to fit into the plug already in the car. I've seen "Connect2" kits which look like they could work, but not sure myself.

CONNECTS2 MP3/CD CHANGER ADAPTER FOR FIAT BRAVO,BRAVA on eBay (end time 28-Feb-10 2228 GMT)

This is why I would be very appreciative if someone could tell me if there is actually a lead already made that acts as an adapter for the round-pin connection to square-pin

I'm fed up of hearing the Blaupunkt changer trying to work in the background before giving up. It's annoying lol.

Here are some pictures to help... Sorry for the camera quality, I lost my bluetooth USB and my 5 mega-pixel camera (Which I am using) is worse quality than my 3.2 mega-pixel camera on my phone... Riiight lol!

Dont think there is anything like that for the Stilo, never seen one. The one fitted to the Marea/Bravo was a Grundig unit so that one wont work.

It wont be a something as simple as a lead as you have two different protocols used for control (Sony uses unilink and the Blaupunkt in the Stilo uses one called DMS), so you would need some sort of microcontroller to do the interpreting.

Well the changer was originally bought for my dads quattro but it wouldn't fit so, before selling it on, I thought I might try and make some use out of it for my Stilo lol. Tis on ebay now
