No no, the dealer should be able to give you them. If you can give me the numbers i will get the diagrams that accompany them so you can see what is what.

Similar system, could be the one on the actuator after all?

right been out again disconnected various sensors got p1741 p1742 on the pump done the 3 which are directly under the inlet pipe which are all ok i could only find 3 wiring looms on the pump one was postion and selection the last loom was the feed to the pump so unless there is one hidden really well under there i couldnt find it.When i disconnect the plug from the speed sensor on the front of the box i dont get any new fault codes where as i did the other 5 sensors they all chucked up a fault is tht normal for that sensor to do this or is it knackered.

Thanks for that but it dont show the pump on that pic maybe you will have luck with the part number i have given you. Number 12 i think is the clutch speed sensor what is the part number for that as the fiat garage cant find it. I think number 9 is the reverse light switch might be wrong though but look like the one i took out this morning the crank one is the one on the bellhousing whereas that goes into the box obove the gearbox filler bung.

Its quite tricky to find the actuator parts in Eper, you have to search by description...

You check check the sensors aparantly by measuring the resistance across them, or so I have read on various Alfa forums, and we know how reliable the 156 selespeed is so I am sure they have had plenty of experience in fault finding

Hmm sounds like the one they said about was £109 without the vat but like ya said i cant see the sensor on the pump i will go and get the chassis number in a min

All three are on that diagram, just the vbulletin has scaled it.

Ill see if I can fix it.
