Thread: Selespeed Gearbox Problems

Right been out again put the car on the laptop pulled the plug of the sensor (6)and got a different fault code P1744 (hyd presure sensor) so it cant be the one that the local fiat dealer have given me the part number for and the picture only states the one sensor so now i am stuck as the other pic says there another sensor (12) which does look like a speed sensor that goes into the gearbox above the filler bung

Well i just rang the dealer down where the old owner had the car and in december and it had a new sillyspeed pump and relay put on it for £800 just waiting for the invoice to come through the post and then it will be going down to the local fiat dealer and hopefully be under warranty does any one know if you get new sensors with the pump? and again thanks for all your help

Hmm sounds about right but this car went into the dealers with this problem and putting a pump on it has only cured it for 3 months so hopefully its a leg to stand on i just dont understand why the previous owner dint say a word about this fault had a whole book of invoices apart from this one

Its a bit of a problem with forums, people dont always report back when they have had the problem sorted. I arent sure if they come with the pump or not.

Ahh don't worry as soon as I find out what the real problem is I shall report back least I can do after you boys have helped me the last few days and I shall donate to the forum aswell

If it helps the part number to my sensor is 55212289. Im not sure if thats what you need. I was told its a Clutch speed sensor.
