Default Wife part exchanged Stilo on grande punto

Well I guess the time had come. Been in the family 4.75 years with very little to complain about. Last week 2 injectors failed, this week another has gone so fourth is probably there too. My wife had said that she wanted to downgrade as she didn't use the performance on offer from the 1.6, so a 1.2 Grande Punto dynamic with climate control and reverse sensors thrown in has been purchased. Quite impressed with it although took a bit of getting used to as I drove the Abarth (followed my wife in just in cae) to the dealers and going straight to the 1.2 - ouch. However, she took the helm and drove it in her usual fashion, then we switched and although lacking it was more than capable for the driving around town that she does.
Will post in a couple of weeks after we have taken delivery of the car (new) and let you know our findings.
I guess I may have to upgrade to the Bravo now as the wife having a newer car than me isn't really on :-\

June bought a new Grande from owning a people carrier [meriva] ::) it was a 5dr [of course]as we have a large family and the 3dr for us just wasn't practical .the faults on the car were none stop rattles ..suspension knocking you name it we had it ..couldn't open the two rear door when we went to pick the damn car up >:( and it had to back in to get the modification done to the rear handles so they would open ..the final straw was [as mark has said] the water when opening the boot .,which was a right pain in the butt .water was getting in between the two skins of the tailgate and when anyone opened the tailgate it all pored out from the two holes on the bottom where the rubber grommets are :o I went out one morning to get some stuff from the boot and was in my Jim jams ..Whoooooooosh was like someone had turned on a tap and my Jim jams were all soaking ..looked as tho I had peed myself ;D
end of tale was we decided to get rid before anything else went wrong and four months to the day she bought it she bought the new 1.4 stilo and a step in the right direction that was ..grande's are every where masses of them and some showrooms are selling them very cheap to shift them ..there are many things on the car which are badly designed so if anyone buys one I would have a look on the grande section on fiat forum before parting with your cash as some of the stories there are horrifying ..
