    Default New Battery for Abarth

    Hi Guys,

Its been one thing after another with my car at the moment.. but anyway I am in need of a new battery and cause the car isnt at my house im a bit stuck for checking fitment etc.

Im looking to get a big heavy duty battery that will fit in the standard tray for my car.

I had a look here, Fiat Stilo 2.4 (2002>>) Car Battery

but im sure the one that was there was 63AH so was thinking about something a little larger as I do a lot of short trips etc so. A Bosch one maybe as they dont seem too pricey..

Can anyone with a 2.4 or otherwise recommend anything?

    Thanks

    Dan

The biggest battery that'll fit in the abarth is a "Type 096" battery, I got a brand new Numax delivered from ebay for £50 - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=320486108610

When you take your old battery out there is a plastic upstand on the battery tray, this just unclips and allows the bigger battery to fit in the box.

Definately makes a difference - bigger is always better! lol

Thanks for the replies guys, that '096 type looks like the kind of thing im looking for. I only drive the car like twice a week these days (I remembered how to walk to half mile to work), so something like that might be a good idea.

Im going to ring round the local places this afternoon to see if I can get something more local. Ill post back with my findings etc.

    Thanks Again

    Dan

I got that Numax 096 battery a little over a year ago and not had any issues since I got it. Paid about the £50 mark as well for it
