    its a limited slip diff,

its stops one wheel spinning faster than the other, so when you cornering hard, you dont get whats called "in lift" where the inside wheel is spinning away doing nothing,so you can corner faster and safer, i want an lsd for my car ;D

Ultimately I take it the question is....will it fit?
The answer is - yes, it should and it wont break the bank. A friend is retro-fitting the same Q2 differential thingmy into his 2.5 156 JTD and apparently all the JTD Stilos will accept the one as fitted to the 147 ;)

    Boost ;D

Q2 limited slip differential splits torque between the two front wheels constantly and dynamically in response to changing driving conditions and road surfaces; ensuring that effective grip is maintained at all times.

    sounds good.

interesting 'how to' link here this isnt the Q2 but gives you an idea. :)

so are you saying red that the Q2 lsd wont fit the 2.4 but will fit the jtd? as it has been retro fitted to the v6 147. ;)

the info i have shows it being retrofitted to a 147 jtd 16v? does that mean it will only fit the 16v with the 6speed box or would it still fit the 8v?
