Evening everyone? How are we all? Gradually going through my too do list for the car, thankfully its not a big list lol. When I got the car the interior light worked when you opened the drivers door, gradually it became more erratic and now appears to have stopped working altogether. Looking at the door it appears the ajar switch is built into the latch. I haven't had the time recently to strip the door down but am guessing either latch or a break in the wiring into the door. Have tried the wiggle test but didn't improve it. My question I suppose is; is this a common failure and what is it likely to be latch or wiring? Any suggestions?

Quiet at work today, got into the latch, cleaned and lube the contacts now all working as it should, hopefully stay that way.

Well it has packed up again so this time I shall have to strip it down fully, hopefully after work tomorrow. will take some pics when I do it. May need some help uploading them as haven't been able to upload any pics to my garage. Think the pic resolution on my phone is too high.
