    Default pre heat warning light

I think I'm collecting every warning light Fiat has.The latest is an amber preheat warning.
Now I take it that is to do with the fuel warming system but other than that I have no idea how it can be solved so any advice would be appreciated.

This on a diesel? If so I'd have thought it'd have been the glow plugs.

Yes its a diesel. That was my first thought as well. The glow plugs.

Though the light is coming on when I turn the ignition to on then going off when the engine starts waiting a few seconds then beeping and coming up with the fault .So no problem with starting which would suggest the glow plugs are OK ???? Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm only making a guess at that.

If it's warm enough outside you can probably start without glow plugs with little or no problems. Ideally you need to get the fault code read off the computer to find out what the issue is.

    Hello

I had the preheat fault too. In my case it was the wiring that ran from the heater relay to each glow plug, there was one bad connection to one of the plugs. I got a new wiring harness from Fiat for £35 and £40 to fit from my local garage. So you could look at that.
