What's the actual fault code? All three pedals have sensors / switches on so need to assatane exactly what pedal is at fault.

1221 0r 1222 cant remember off hand but it is the accelerator pedal. the engine runs and revs and pulls like a train even under load until the temp gets to normal and then throws the error - thanks for the response MEP

Might be worth disconnecting the battery for half hour to see if that resets it and sorts problems out.

been a while since i've posted here, but i think your fault might be in ecu as i've had exact same fault codes, new pedal fitted(used obviously), new throttle body(same as pedal) and still made no difference, sometimes the fault used to go away for a day, but next morning same shit used to occur every time... i've tried it all aswell untill one day car stopped and failed to even move, got pulled to a garage of mines that i use few days later got a new ecu and a hefty £365 bill, but never looked back now, car is smooth and nice as was b4... get electrician to check the voltage from ecu to throttle body and that should determine if it will be it(might be wrong on that but i think that's what the bloke in my garage did b4 ordering new ecu).
    hope it helps...
