Hey Guys, I've got a Stilo Abarth, 2002 with a selespeed gearbox and today I've had it get stuck in gear. Dash lights up and everything goes on, I hear a whirring but the car just refuses to change gear and the brake pedal remains hard to press. I left it on for a few mins and the message "auto gearbox failure" came up which left me with a sinking feeling. Haven't really had any problems with it before other than an intermittent "rear left stop bulb failure" warning message.

It's stuck on the 4th floor of a multi story car park with a height restriction of 1.9m so I'm clueless as to how to get it out to be towed home reasonably... has anyone ever had this problem before. I don't mind the break down so much it's more about getting it out of the multi story car park

RAC man said it would take about 3 hours of manouvering the car on these wheels with a truck in front and behind to get it out and cost an arm and leg... that is going to have to be last resort if I could get the car started or just somehow into neutral!

Disconnected battery for a while, also changed battery so ruled that out. Any help would be much appreciated :)

Just wondering if anyone would know whether this solution works for the selespeed in the stilo to manually shift into neutral?

If anyone's been successful in doing that it would probably be all I need to do to get it into neutral and push it down the ramps of the car park!
