HELP! Car keeps cutting out! HELP!
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!
A few months ago, I was driving my 1.9JTD Dynamic and it cut out mid journey.
I jumped it and went on my way but then it happened after.
I assumed it was my battery so I went out and bought a new battery and it seemed fine for a while.
I've now moved to Uni and my dad has been driving it on and off and the problem keeps happening.
The car cuts out and says "Loose Connection" on the display.
My Dad has had all the battery out and checked and cleaned all the connections. But still it keeps happening.
There is an odd whining coming from the engine bay, I don't know if its Alternator, Auxilliary belt, or some other pulley but could that be affecting it?
The car stops randomly, but it is usually around 20 mins. Could the altenator be nackered and overheating?
Someone please help!

usually just bolted on by crank pulley on petrol cars,if it's the same as 1.6 stilo then look under front bumper and you can see it one bolt then follow lead and unplug, mined being a diesel could be on the back of engine at other end taking readings off flywheel best to have a look, find the part on ebay then you know what to look for,but dead easy iether way good luck let us know how you get on.yep still sounds like crank on it's way out
