today i was playing as last nite coming down the gear box it said loose connection

i know this controls something, so i thought ill remove and see what happens, full throttle sat on the driveway is what happened, not been able to do that for days.

plugged it back in and it went back to the usual coughing and spluttering and cutting my throttle and shit.

today i removed the ecu plugs, cleaned em and put em back on, swapped the two end coils round, and unplugged this plug, its done something anyway :applause

I think that controls the varaible intake with it unplugged the air should always go the short way as if you are on full throttle or over a certain rpm.

thought it was, so if its dead that would be causing my lack of throttle, its staying off then ;D

its only got to go a week without it ;D

Not sure about dead all I know is on the 1.8 punto_pete removed it and the variable intake alowed the air to always go the short way which it should only do on full throttle and high revs.
I think its for economy.

Red..its not the idle air control valve is it...these can get blocked and need stripping from time to time and cleaning with carb cleaner etc if not you get rough idle and cutting out and is always working whilst driving too....you may want to see if it revs in the morning once really cold like a choke if revs dont come up you know its the idle valve

its a pig in the morning, starts then stalls >:(

until now, iv unplugged the above ringed sensor, and it goes, its far from smooth but it doesnt cut the throttle anymore, bit hesitant at low revs and mid but after 4000rpm it shifts, goes in on friday ;D
