    Cool Re: steering

Hope you never have to replace the unit cos its damn expensive to buy and costs mega amounts of wonga to fit..I know a place though that recons them so not to bad if it goes tits up..well not as expensive compared to a new unit from fiat ..had an ecu from them for my sons vauxhall van[ jtd] with a two year guarantee for £230 when its £650 from a vauxhall dealer I fitted that so that saved him on the labour charges..

I sold my old Punto HGT with a faulty rack ecu, If you left in parked with the wheels locked over left or right the power steering wouldnt work until you disconnected the battery for 10 minutes. I chopped it in on the abarth

So if you see a Blue Punto HGT reg W*** LNN, dont buy it!
