just a quick update, found the sprung clutch disk from italy was damaged(friction material) in transit from italy(fella who will be fitting noticed it when i took it for him to have a look)
anyway didn't want to get into posting back to italy and got in touch with c.g.motorsport who said they could reline the disk no problem.drove to leeds sat morning and at 09.10 they had a look(at material and thickness) made me a coffee while i waited, relined it and i was heading out of leeds again before 10.00.a big thanks to the fellas there recommended and would use again in the future.£40 to be relined both sides

Re: stilo uprated/sports clutches
all fitted now, big thanks to allitalia wrexham , went to fiat for the bearing in the end, gotta bed in new clutch for a few hundred miles first before i can really test out,but first impressions are good as it doesnt rattle in idle like id read is normal for smf on vag tdi cars, peddle pressure i would say is a fair bit more than oe but nothing too hard(way too soft as standard i thought anyway)easy enough to find bite after a few junctions.
p.s.they had to do a bit of machining for dowels in clutch/flywheel.
here are a few pics of clutch removed to compare(25,000 miles)im no expert but bearing seal looks burnt/melted and all over clutch parts is what looks like rust dust, disk is 7.10mm thick almost to bottom of grooves, material looks shiny.

many thanks to all for info or advice, and will post again when clutch, smf and Q2 can be fully tested.

CG-MOTORSPORT - Clutch Kit Specialists Been there, done that, £580 fitted and as a matter of interest they also offered to re-map the Stilo for me. No mention of cost or power output but a nice bunch of people to deal with. You could have a day out in Leeds at the same time (go on, take the missus to Harvey Nicks - you know she wants to go).
