Once again your opinion leaves me rolling about on the floor laughing. You just cant keep it together can you?
Theres an awful lot more to the units than what Scottie has stated, from safety inclusions on the unit, memory functions, adjustability (not a stupid screw BTW) etc etc- none of which does your unit possess?.
Why dont you tell us the "real" reason why you keep coming on here and opinionising the same subject. If you dont like tuning boxes, then fine, we got the message the last time. Get over it and leave it be.
If you bought one that has done little or nothing for your JTD....Sorry i mean your 150bhp mJTD, then i'm sorry to hear that. If you had purchased a decent one i would suspect you would not be doing this as you would be very pleased (Like many MANY of my past customers).
However, do some research, look at the likes of DTUK, Tunit, SPIDER, DTE etc etc etc, they are selling units for over £300 (some far above this), and have a massive following of loyal customers who are repeat customers. Are these people wrong? The answer - I would state personally NO, but i'm bound to say that really, but if i ever get a customer who comes back to me, and says theres a problems, guess what, i sort it out for them, which is why i also have customers repeatedly coming back to me, from far and wide.
Get over the fact you dont like Tuning boxes/unit/devices/ "Shite" as you call it. We know your opinion believe me we dont need to keep hearing about it!
Have a nice day btw

You need to get your act together and less of the verbal diahrea. If you read my post properly instead of what you think you saw I said it worked quite well. I havent even tried it on my mJTD as you call it so I wouldnt know. Why would you have people coming back to you how many can you put on one car or are they leaving them on when they sell the car (more money than sense). Just because people are selling them at exorbitant prices dosent make them good and as far as likes of DTUK I wonder if they all operate the same way, the last time I saw him he was selling them from a little office at the back of his butchers shop.

Re: Plugin Pics
Here we go again...
Difference of opinion is great, just lets keep it cool eh?
The idea behind this when we discussed it a while ago was to dissect one of these units and try and find out how and why they work. Not for the whole thread to turn to a big war again.
Johnson, you made you opinion very clear before and really didnt need to do it again. Im sure Crosshairs knows what you think of the units.
The unit you have probably does work in a very similar way to the newer ones, in principle, but the method of execution is much more reliable due to the more advanced hardware used.
@Johnsson550 - any chance you can lift that sticker on the IC and list the chip number underneath?
@Crosshairs - can you do the same with your more advanced unit too?
I have found some interesting stuff on some MG-rover forums, one of their members has made his own tuning unit for the SDI diesels and yielding excellent results. The unit they have not only changes rail pressure and injection duration, but also allows for boost changes..
To get this thread off the ground properly we need facts. What is the signal that the tuning boxes is changing? Is it a pulse, based on voltage?
Lets keep this thread factual, as I for one am interested in how these things work.

Re: Plugin Pics
Thanks Johnson, 675 could be right, could be 12F675 perhaps?
