Was considering the middle option myself as a good and far cheaper alternative to the BMC one. A fellow poster over at Fiat Scotland got an Apiro, but it was the Viper clone he got. There was a slight descriptive error in that it said "aluminium" hose but he ended up getting a plastic one. Apparently he's getting an exchange though. Unsure as to the quality of the kit in general as he hadn't fitted it yet. He did say he had some issues with under the bonnet space and routing it but he has a Punto 2b with less room - Stilo may not have the same issues.

Personally I'm holding out for a GSR another few weeks and if not I'll just bodge something together myself

    Hi ste

The BMC kits are half decent if not a tad over priced, however the big question is what exactly you want the kit for.
Because with the standard set up on your 1.6 none of them are going to turn it into a tarmac shredder and teh gains will be low, i estimate on the 1.6 you will probably see about 10bhp at best (maybe "maybe" a little more - bear with me i'm trying to be generous here :) ) But again other factors need to be considered, i.e How well serviced is your car. If the answer is not very well, then i would spend my hard earned on havign it serviced thoroughly, because you will see much better gains, than simply slapping an Induction kit on it.
Now theres a massive price differnece between the Top BMc and the Ario kit, but tbh, for lets say a £100 (If you were wanting to simply blow teh £185 in your pocket!), i would buy the Apiro kit (It looks the best too as some under bonnet bling!), it'll sound throaty, look good, add a bit more bhp, and save you about £100.
Then invest the £100 in good service. OR "OR", do what our old mate Red did, visit regals motorsport and build your own induction kit, which you'll have a lot of pride in.

Or a lesser option, get a K&N 57i, wont do the 1.6 Stilo any halm, and invest in a remap.

But the main question still is???? What exactly you are wanting from your beastie?

what i would do is do some mods to the original airbox and invest in a decent panel filter, maybe drill a hole in the airbox and add a cold air feed

ive just orderd the apiro kit

cant realy see why there is so much of a price difference in apiro and bmc (apart from reputaion)

5 - 10 hp will do me to be honest

just want it to sound ok

maybe a remap a bit further down the line

any tips / advice regarding the air flow meter ?

does it just fit into the coupling of the manifold inlet and the filter body ?
as ive seen a guide an it says the meter is bolted to the origonal air box obviously this will be removed ?

    am i missing something ?
