If youre a member on FF you can get it remapped for £200 but it involves going to Watford.

How do Wet, Whats your dillemma mate?
Nothing wrong with mobile remapping, however alot of people now are turning to the tuning boxes. Lord knows most of my business has gone from remapping to the tuning units.
Although like everything, the price, quality and service difference is huge whereever you go.
If i were you and you were really really REALLY wanting a remap, then i would expect to pay around £250 - £300 for a good quality service.
HOWEVER if you wanted a good increase in performance, without the heavy price tag, then a good quality tuning unit is the right option for you.
If it helps, i've run one of our tuning units on my Jtd for the past 6 months, its a great example to use when propsective customers are mulling over their options.
The Stilo is fairly long in the tooth now so there isn;t too much to worry about with getting the ECU remapped, however beware of anyone who even smells of Ebay KWP2000 rubbish, i.e If they have a DVD with 1 billion ECU fileso n it, turn and run away from them.
You need someone who will treat your car as thier own (Unless its Scottie, then that would be more worrying :) ),
The service should maitain your battery and voltage whilst working on your car, and explain whats going on to you as they do it.
If you want a good idea of how not to be treated by a tuning Co, then look no further than our old friend Abzstilo, he got owned by a certain company who left him out to dry.
My advice though, save a few £'000 and get a good quality digital tuning unit ahem......>>>>>>

I would go back Ive had no problem with the remap and Im in my right mind ( Ive got a certificate to prove it). Abz is the only one Ive heard about whos had bother and considering there must have been a heluva lot of cars been remapped there.
It was a lot unfortunate for Abz he lives so far away and he couldnt just pop back and get things sorted.

Phil you say that but then you have an axe to grind with GSR or Red Dot or both dont you so I would say you are a bit biased.
