Hey all,
Got my tuning kit today from elitetuning, i am in contact with him about trying find the right connectors to fit it to, but i am struggling to figure out where it is.
I wondered if any members had fitted one and have pictures, or could even link me to pictures of where i need to be looking? Elitetuning are trying to explain to me, but im struggling to figure out where abouts it is, sending pictures with random sockets circled, hoping its right. Just thought if anyone had pics that would make it a bit easier lol. Many Thanks.
Thanks for that, but we found that my engine was different from the two in the instructions, it was con 2 to look at, but it had a common rail, but this was fitted midway on the engine (so was a pain to get to not on the top like in the con1 instructions lol). Finally got it on, through installation i had a load of engine faults come up, but ive got a little diagnostic thing, that i was able to right down codes then clear them off. Once cleared i did the set up 60 secs on, 60 secs while car is started. And seems to be fine. Have noticed a different in 3rd and 4th, 2nd there is some difference to but not as noticable.
What i think ill end up doing, is running it for a week, i do two 50miles journeys (100 yeh but cars stopped for about 3-4 hours while im at uni) 4 days a week, and then i will increase to the next slot.

Thats Fiats for you old bean, thanks for the update glad you got it on in the end, but as an aside, I think the "Common Rail Instructions i included may have been more releveant (Just remmebred that now, so i'll make those ammendments we spoke about over the phone, Ben, Let me know how you get on)
I cudnt resist and ive already switched to setting 5, and so far happy with the result. Ive taken some pics, just for any1 who may have similar problems in the end. And Rob let me know if you want the pics emailing over as i have them on laptop.
cheers Ben, itst he GM set up, same as the CDTI - Vectra 120 Bhp version, bloomin Fiats eh, Are you sure yours is the 115bhp?
My 115 its rail end it capped off, with the sensor in the middle, you know where i mean, in that really accesible place, right down the back lol
Here you go matey:
The most common JTD engine is the 1.9 L (1910 cc) straight-4 found in the Fiat Punto, Doblò, Stilo and Croma.
The first car that used this engine was Alfa Romeo 156 in 1997 (105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp)), making it the world's first common-rail Diesel passenger car. In 1999 it was introduced with the Fiat Punto and Fiat Brava/Fiat Bravo/Fiat Marea. The engine block weighs approximately 125 kg (276 lb).
The Multijet second generation features a common-rail design and is available with four different power outputs. The 8-valve version has 100 PS (74 kW; 99 hp), 120 PS (88 kW; 120 hp) or 130 PS (96 kW; 130 hp), the last two with variable inlet geometry; and the 16-valve version has 150 PS (110 kW; 150 hp).
Opel also uses a version of this engine. Their CDTI engine, manufactured in Pratola Serra, Italy and Kaiserslautern, Germany, is the product of the half-decade joint venture between GM and Fiat. It is used in the Vectra, Signum, Astra, Zafira, Cadillac BLS and Suzuki SX4 as well as some Saabs marked as TiD and TTiD (twinturbo version).
Originally, its petrol engines were the 1242 cc DOHC 16 valve engine also powering the Punto and Lancia Ypsilon with an output of 80 bhp (60 kW) combined with a 6 speed manual gearbox, a 102 bhp (76 kW), 1.6 L with a 5 speed manual gearbox (The 1.6 was also available with a 6 speed manual gearbox, but these are quite rare) a 131 bhp (97 kW), 1.8 L, again with a 5 speed manual gearbox and a 168 bhp (125 kW), 5 cylinder, 2.4 L engine combined with Fiat's Selespeed 5 speed semi-automatic gearbox, also used on the Alfa Romeo 147. An 8 valve, 1.9 JTD unit with 115, 120, 130 or 16 valve 150 bhp (110 kW) diesel unit were/are also available.
