    Default rear hub alignment

this should really be in the technical section.......

anyways, went today to have my tracking checked after the new suspension has settled down (brilliant BTW) and was told that my rear passenger side wheel was out by about 3.5 degrees, this in turn put the whole alignment out by something like 15 degrees.

is there any way to adjust the rear hub? the garage i went to (heath tyres, cardiff) mentioned that the hub may need shimming.

Fiat released a technical bulletin about this regarding rear tyre wear. I'll try and get the bulletin number if that helps.

Basically, depending on how far out the rear toe-in was, you replace one or both stub axles or if really bad, the complete rear beam! I've only ever fitted stub axles for this and they've been fine.

The price for a rear stub axle is approx £55 + vat. Part no. 51743771.

The bulletin does recommend replacing the securing bolts too!

The bulletin states 1.5 hours to fit the part and check wheel alignment! So I would say only 1 hour at most to fit. ;)
